Your 6-Day Itinerary
Morning drive from Srinagar to Gurez (approx 6-7 hours). Cross the mighty Razdan Pass at 11,000 ft. Arrive in Dawar – the main town of Gurez. Check into a riverside homestay. Evening walk along Kishanganga River.
Explore Dawar – the cultural heart of Gurez. Visit the ancient Gurez Fort, walk through walnut orchards, and drive to the viewpoint of Burzil Pass (entry to Pakistan). Interact with local Dard-Shina families.
Drive to the upper Tulail Valley, a hidden paradise with emerald meadows and traditional wooden houses. Visit the villages of Tulail, Badoab, and the confluence of Kishanganga. Packed lunch by the river.
Explore the remote Chakwali and Bagtore villages, located near the Line of Control. Witness rustic life, terraced fields, and spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. Evening bonfire with Kashmiri kehwa.
Morning trout fishing in Kishanganga (equipment provided). Afternoon free for leisure – you can hike to nearby meadows or simply relax by the river. Optional cooking class with the host family.
After breakfast, drive back to Srinagar via Razdan Pass. Stop for last photos of the majestic valley. Arrive in Srinagar by evening. Transfer to airport or hotel as per your plan.
